What is Mjølkevegen and how do you cycle it?

Mjølkevegen (The Milk Road) is Norway's best-known bikepacking route: roughly 250 km of gravel through large parts of Valdres, between Vinstra/Skåbu in Gudbrandsdalen and Gol/Golsfjellet in Hallingdal. Accommodation exists at/near mountain lodges such as Bygdin, Haugseter, Gomobu and Golsfjellet providers including Kamben/Oset/Storefjell; verify booking and services directly. Typical riding time is 3–5 days, with the main snow-free season from mid-June in normal years.
